LegalScout — law-firm AI associates for client intake
LegalScout is a platform where participating law firms publish AI associates for confidential client intake. Prospective clients browse the public directory, open a firm's associate, and describe their situation by chat or voice. A human attorney reviews the resulting intake. Associates do not replace licensed lawyers, and LegalScout is not a generic lawyer-messaging marketplace.

Start at the LegalScout home page. Browse participating firms at find-a-lawyer, open an associate, and start chat or voice. You do not log into the attorney dashboard. Official connection details for AI assistants live at /connect.
Law firms

How agents call LegalScout
POST JSON-RPC initialize to https://legalscout.net/api/mcp with Accept application/json, text/event-stream. Then call tools/list or resources/list. Rate-limit headers (RateLimit, RateLimit-Policy, Retry-After on 429) are on public API responses. Deprecation uses Deprecation and Sunset headers at least 180 days before removal. Breaking changes ship as /api/v2/.
What LegalScout is
Associates, briefs, matters, and products
Associates are AI agents a participating firm runs (prospect, active-client, or productized), not a human staff directory. Briefs are the record of those conversations. Matters are the file: next action, tasks, documents, time, and the client portal. Products are priced offerings assigned to prospect assistants so callers can choose them; orders are sold products waiting on the attorney. The practice assistant is the attorney-side assistant on Home. LegalScout is not a generic lawyer-messaging marketplace and does not give legal advice.
